More Coloring!

I decided last night to take my giant pad of paper, my Copics, and my BIG envelope of stamped images into my bedroom, spread everything out on the bed, turn on a movie and just COLOR!!

So, here is what I have colored, I am happy with some of it, especially the little fisherboy, but some of it is NOT GOOD, like the hair on most of them! LOL Still need practice with hair!

Finally Coloring Something!!

Ok, so I have been having a lot of fun swapping images in the following forums:

Fulfill Your Wish List

Pay It Forward Stamped Image Swap

Express Image Swap

AND the new Stamped Image Swap yahoo group:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CopicCabanaSIS

Anyway, I have all these awesome images, and I haven't been actually COLORING any of them! LOL So I decided tonight to try coloring a couple, since I got some more markers from the Copic Cabana Copic Club!

I got out of the lines a little on the second one, but I think I did a pretty good job on the first one. Still need better shading skills.

Copics I Need

Ok, so I am starting to compile a list of Copics that I feel that I need!

For Hair:
E25, E29, E31 - brown
Y11, Y21, E97, E99 - blonde
C3, C5, C7, C9 - black

Skin:
E000, E00, E11, E21, R20

(The Italic ones are the ones I have or am getting in the next few months in my marker club)

I will add to this list as I find I need more options...

Next...

LOL, here are the next 2 images I have done tonight... and I think they may be the last for tonight... I am getting tired from making cards all day. I am ready to just go watch whatever I want to on TV and relax my back a little! But I think these next 2 images are better than the first, I am really working on SLOWING DOWN!

I do feel that if I had just a few more colors, like HAIR colors, things might go a little smoother!:) I really need to invest in BROWNS, for hair and wood!

So, I used 2 stamps from the "A Kind Word" stamp set from Stampin' Up. I LOVE this set!!

My major problem with the cats and hat is that I got out of line terribly! (Excuse my pictures, I can't seem to get the right kind of light here in my house for these pictures! UGH!)

I think the girl turned out pretty good though! Terrible bleeding on the swing part though, UGH!

So, leave me a comment with comments(duh) or suggestions!:)

First Image of the Night

Ok, here is the first image of the night... not great! lol

I used:
BG49, BG23, BG34, C1, C2, and then I don't have any oranges, so I used R24 and blended E00 on top of that...

Major bleeding and blurring! lol

7 new Copics!

I got 7 new Copics today from my Copic Sketch Club! I have updated my colors on my sidebar! Tonight, my husband and all 3 of my boys went to the fair to watch the tractor pull. I have decided that I definitely do NOT like tractor pulls... in my opinion it is about the most BORING thing ever to watch! lol So, I opted to stay home by myself! :)

I am about to finish up a bowl of ice cream ;) and then I will get to using these markers!:) I will post pictures in a bit!

Working with Copics

Ok, so I needed to make a card for the Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge which I am a Design Team Member for. I decided to use my Copics. I have no clue how to shade... I have watched videos and have tried, but I think either I am just Copic-Stupid or I just don't have the right colors yet! LOL It is a tad sad right now that I have to make blue bears since I have no browns! LOL

The Copic Clutz

So, I decided to start this blog to journal my adventures and mishaps using Copic markers! lol I have not had the best experience yet, and I am sure there are others like me out there! So, I will post links to tutorials that are helpful, a list of the Copic markers I have so you know which colors I have available, etc.

I will TRY to post a few times a week, just to make myself use these wonderful markers!
We will see how this goes!:)
